SULA BASSANA - dreamer (22 years anniversary) LP +dl

The debut album of Germany’s spacehead Dave Schmidt, aka Sula Bassana, was released the first time on vinyl by Nasoni Records in 2002. In 2004 it was released as CD on Dave’s own label Sulatron Records (the first ever Sulatron release!) and was re-released as CD again on Elektrohasch Records in 2005. Since the first release in 2002, ten years have passed and the re-release was overdue. But not only a simple re-release: The whole stuff has been remastered by Krautrocklegend Eroc. There are 2 bonus tracks appearing on the CD version and a whole new artwork, done by Electric Moon’s bass player Komet Lulu, whose designed stuff is released as „Lulu Artwork!“. First 500 on black vinyl, the second run on green 180gr quality wax, bounded by black innersleeve. Both sold out fast.

BUT NOW the 22 years re-issue, limited to 300 copies on 180 gram randomly coloured recycling vinyl made in Germany, with the original cover artwork of the first two CD-issues, designed back then by Malleus, the kult designers from Italy (Ufomammut members!).
This new edition marks the 22 years anniversary of the album itself, the 20 years anniversary of the CD and the 20 years anniversary of Sulatron Records within one release. :)
Neo-Psychedelia meets electronic influences. The heartbreaker „My Blue Guitar“ in between will soften every heart then. At the beginning still very 60s psych like, the whole thing gets more and more electronic to the end, what not means it does harm the psychedelic thing – it does support it!! With long and flowing tunes you get into kind of trance, you will only awake from it, when the album is done – what causes you to play again and again! With the Pink Floyd cover „Baby Blue Shuffle in D Major“ you will find another Floyd cover in the CD-Bonustracks: „The Vegetable Man“! The 10 years anniversary CD is still available! Called the best Sula Bassana album ever by the fans, always marked as very good by the media, it now appears in it’s full beauty – the remastering was the best what could have happened to support the whole beauty of this sound, it’s charme and the listener can now dive deep into that perfection of psychedelia.
